Growing Memories:

A Musical Circle Story of Love, Loss and Renewal

  • Within current audio storytelling for young audiences, sound design is still most often used in a supportive or atmospheric capacity alongside linear narration. This project responds to that gap by developing a modular narrative structure in which voice, original music, and environmental sound function as co-equal compositional elements, each contributing directly to narrative architecture, pacing, and emotional form.

  • The work reflects broader shifts in contemporary sound art and audio composition toward cyclical, spatial, and non-linear approaches to storytelling, where meaning emerges through repetition, variation, and sonic motif development. By organizing the narrative through seasonal cycles and recurring sonic themes, the project positions listening itself as a compositional space in which time, memory, and transformation are structurally shaped through sound.
